Brooklyn
Le projet Brooklyn fait parti de la trilogie des projets Moscou, Brooklyn et Marais. Il s'agit d'une restructuration d'un sous-sol , d'un rdc et des 3 tages de l'extension. L'appartement est situé dans un triplex du triangle d'or du plateau Mont-Royal, sur la rue Jeanne - Mance. "Brooklyn", logement sur quatres niveaux (!) Rappelle les loft industriels de Brooklyn avec la brique murale, les anciennes trappes de cheminées. La pierre de Moellon au sous-sol était mise en avant. Pour respecter le code du bâtiment et les issues de secours, nous avons totalement restructuré les quatre niveaux.
Pour ce projet nous avons mis en avant la brique et laissé les aspects bruts du logement, comme le papier journal qu'on utilisait autrefois pour isoler les murs. Ce projet, fait en collaboration avec un architecte (pour la restructuration de l'espace), et un ingenieur structure a nécessité une refonte totale de la structure existante. Les propriétaires souhaitaient restructurer leur triplex pour exploiter les espaces perdus : le sous-sol et l'extension qui étaientt une issue de secours. La bâtisse n'avait pas été restaurée depuis plus de 50 ans.
Pour ce logement qui s'étant sur 4 niveaux, nous avons créer un programme qui respecte le code du bâtiment, mais aussi un style esthétique très loft New Yorkais. Nous avons exploité l'aspect brut de l'espace : les anciennes cheminées, la brique, la pierre, les ouvertures régulières et atypiques. Les matériaux choisis sont très simples : érable, noir et blanc ( céramique noire et blanche minimaliste, mobilier noir et blanc)

Brooklyn
Brooklyn is part of a trilogy project including Moscou, Brooklyn, and Le Marais. This is a restructuring of a basement, ground floor, and extension made in a triplex in the prestigious district of the Plateau Mount Royal on Rue Jeanne-Mance.
“Brooklyn”, housing on four levels, recalls the industrial loft of Brooklyn with the brick wall and the old chimney hatches. In addition, the moellon stone in the basement was highlighted. Respecting the building’s code and emergency exits, we have completely restructured the four levels. For this project, we have emphasized the stone bricks and the original aspects of the housing, such as the newspaper used to insulate the walls. This project, done in collaboration with an architect (for restructuring the space) and a structural engineer, required a total overhaul of the existing structure. The owners wanted to restructure their triplex to exploit the lost space: the basement and the extension which were emergency exits. The building had not been restored for more than 50 years.
For this housing, we have created a program that respects the building's code, yet has a very New York loft aesthetic style. We exploited the original aspects of the space: old fireplaces, brick stone, and regular and atypical openings. The materials chosen are simple: all maple, black, and white (minimalist black and white ceramics, black and white furniture…)

I utilized Florence’s services to plan major projects in an old triplex, including digging a habitable basement and transforming the building into a modernized 5-unit apartment. All of the work took 16 months to complete. Florence was responsible for developing the concept, making the construction plans, overseeing the deliverables throughout the project, and making the necessary adjustments along the way, including discussions for obtaining necessary permits. Florence stood out for her creativity in enhancing the living spaces and the quality of her designs. The result was a highly-valued building adapted to the needs of the target market of the sector.
